Thanks to the fact that this blog is, apparently, searchable or viewable to the public, a person known only as "david" posted a comment to my post, pointing out that Mozy is, indeed, still free!

I don't know how that happened, that I thought they had discontinued the "free for home use" option. But I sure didn't see the link on their welcome page that I see there now!
Use it-- Mozy is the simplest, most carefree way to back up your most critical files.
